First Half of Winter

The first half of Winter went by fast! I have been all over the East Coast shooting at Big Boulder and the Transwaorld TransAM. It has been super fun so far and the second half of my Winter will be spent out West. I’m excited to get out there. For now here are photos of what I have been shooting the first half of Winter. Enjoy!

Fall into Winter

Winter is finally back and my schedule is starting to get busy again. The fall was really mellow for me. I went to Miami the first week of October, NYC the second weekend in Oct and then Philly late November with Terzetto to shoot them when they performed. That lead me right into Winter and I am now at Big Boulder until Christmas. Here are some photos from the Fall and start or Winter.

What A Busy Start To Winter!

What an awesome start to this winter. We finally got snow on the East Coast after a awful winter last year. I have been all over the East already and there still is a lot of winter left!

Instead of writing a long post of what I been up to and where I have been here are a bunch of photos and iPhone photos that pretty much say it all.

The first stop of the Winter was West Viringia with Skylar Brent, Harry Hagan, Mike Ravelson, Dylan Dragotta, and Eugene Stancato. We pulled over on this back road in WV to get some photos of the snow and found this sign for Preston.

Behind The Photo: Loading Dock

On this Behind the Photo, I am going back to literally the first time I shot outside of a resort and in the streets. A huge snowstorm dumped snow all over the Northeast. That was back in December 2009 and East Coast Snowboarding Magazine was holding a photo contest. The contest consisted of the photographers getting their crew together and going out and getting shots from the storm that came through.

Transworld Snowboarding Magazine: Mike Rav

The November issue is out from Transwolrd Snowboarding Magazine and my photo of Rav made it in. The photo was taken at LOON during the Street Cred contest at the end of the year last season.

My photo of Rav made it into the November issue of TWSnow. The photo was used in the Top 5 East Coast Parks to show LOON which is ranked the 3rd best park on the East.

Here is a close up of the photo and caption from the magazine.

Behind The Photo: Henninger Rail

Two winters ago I took a trip up to Syracuse, NY after it was hit with a big snowstorm. I went with Peter Pape, Jayell White, Chris Fredette, and Trip Brown to get some shots. This was my first street mission trip so I was excited but I didn’t really know what to expect.

Crazy Winter

I have been slacking on posting on here but also have been super busy. This winter has been a crazy one with no snow falling so I have been shooting some contest for Transworld Snowboarding Magazine and Snowboarder Mag. On top of that I have been busy with getting EAST Snowboard Mag going and getting content.

The season started off good with a storm that brought over a foot of snow to North Jersey. I headed up to Matty B’s house and went out to try to get some shots for EAST. At that point we all thought we were going to have a awesome season like the past two years but that didn’t happen. Fingers are still crossed for some more snow.

Our first issue EAST released December 5th and it surprised all of us on how many views and hype it got. It is a lot of fun having a magazine and learning and seeing how it all comes together. We are working on the next issue now that will look like it will be released March 1st.

I have been living in Pocono Lake, PA working at Big Boulder taking photos for their website and marketing. Shooting for Boulder is fun, I get to ride with my friends and shoot with them.

Since their is no snow I have been shooting some contest. Transworld brought me on to shoot the two east coast stops of the TransAM at Waterville Valley, NH and Mountain Creek, NJ. Being on those stops was a lot of fun and the crew was awesome. In between the two stops I headed over to Seven Springs with a crew to shooting the opening of The Streets. If you haven’t checked or heard what Seven Springs is doing then you need to check it out. We will have a feature in the next issue of EAST about The Streets. I also shot the Snowboarder Mag Superpass at Mountain Creek for Snowboarder Mag this past Sunday.

Over all this winter I have keeping myself busy and trying to get the best out of it. Keep an eye out for the next issue of EAST Snowboard Mag. Below is a gallery of photos from this season. You can also check out more photos and contest on www.eastsnowboardmag.com.

BackĀ East

Since I been back East I forgot how humid it is here. I was spoiled with no humidity and heat when I was at Mt Hood. Besides the heat it is good to be home with the family. I do wish I could still be out at Hood. Winter is right around the corner though and it is going to come fast. This winter I plan on hitting a ton of east coast spots up and take a month long trip to Salt Lake City then to Tahoe. I am super excited for this season and hoping for a good winter on the east.

One more thing, head over to http://www.dudesoup.com. It is a blog from few people from the snowboard industry. It’s good times.
